Ask Katina, (“Ask Katina,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) invites you to access and use our website located at askatina.xyz (the “Website”), our mobile application (the “App”), which is accessible through smartphones, tablets, and other devices, and the services that are made available through our Website and the App (collectively, the “Services”), subject to the following Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy explains Ask Katina’s practices with respect to information that relates to or could reasonably be associated with an individual (“Personal Data”) and other information that we collect from Users. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service, available through the Application and at askatina.xyz/terms-and-conditions. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THIS APPLICATION.

Information We Collect:

When you interact with us through the Services, we may collect the following Personal Data and other information from you, as further described below:

Personal Data That You Provide Through the Services:

We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information, such as when you contact us with inquiries, respond to surveys, register for access to the Application, or use certain Services. This information may include:

  1. Email address
  2. Phone number
  3. Facebook ID
  4. Apple ID
  5. Photos or GIFs shared with other Users on the Service
  6. And the other information that we gather from all our channels

The Services may also allow you to update your status, comment on other Users' statuses and Personal or Compatibility Readings (defined below), communicate with other Users, and upload photos and videos. When you perform these actions, you may provide us with Personal Data. Please note that to upload photos and videos to the Service, you may allow access to your camera and photo album.

Profile Information:

We collect the following information from you to create your profile:

  1. Name or alias
  2. Birthdate
  3. Time of birth
  4. Country, state, and city of birth
  5. Gender preference
  6. Username
  7. Location
  8. Photo (if uploaded)
  9. And the other information that we gather from all our channels

You may set your profile to private, so that Users you haven't added as friends cannot view your personal reading in your profile. However, all Users may still be able to create reports (as defined below) about how two individuals connect based on the Personal Data in your profile. Additionally, if your account is private, Users you haven't added as friends will not be able to view your friends list, similarities with you, or run a Bond with you.

By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you consent to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Other Information:

Automatically Passively Collected Data:

When you interact with Ask Katina through the Site, we may collect and store certain types of information through automatic data collection tools, including cookies and similar technologies (as described below). Ask Katina may store this information itself, or it may be stored in databases maintained by Ask Katina affiliates, agents, or service providers. We may use this information in combination with other data to understand, for example, the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page, and the domain names of visitors' internet service providers. This information helps us make decisions to improve the Site and enhance user experience.

Cookies and Similar Technologies:

In operating the Site, we may use "cookies." A cookie is a small piece of data that the Site sends to your browser when you access it. Our cookies help provide additional functionality to the Site and allow us to analyze Site usage more accurately. For example, cookies can enable you to navigate the Site without repeatedly entering your password. Please note that cookies are not used in the mobile Application.

Do Not Track:

Our Site currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals and operates as described in this Privacy Policy regardless of whether a DNT signal is received. If we begin responding to DNT signals in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

Aggregated Data:

To better understand and serve Users, Ask Katina may conduct research on User demographics, interests, locations, and behavior, using Personal Data and other information provided. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and Ask Katina may share aggregate data with affiliates, agents, and business partners for any purpose. We may also disclose aggregated user statistics to describe our Services to potential business partners and other third parties for lawful purposes.

Location Information:

Our Services may collect and use your location information (e.g., GPS data from your mobile device) only to provide certain functionality (e.g., push notifications based on your local time zone). Your location information will be used internally, and we may use it in aggregate form as described in the Aggregated Data section.

Push Notifications:

We may request permission to send push notifications about your account or the Application. If you wish to opt out of these communications, you can do so by adjusting your device settings.

Device Information:

We may collect information about your device while you use the Service. This may include device type, device family, operating system, carrier, unique device ID, time zone, browser type, version, and language.

Usage Information:

We may collect data regarding your activity within the Service, including login date and time, features visited or used, location data (latitude and longitude), and searches conducted within the Service.

Ask Katina uses the Personal Data you provide in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data for a specific reason, we may use that data for that purpose. For example, if you contact us via email, we will use the Personal Data you provide to respond to your questions or resolve your issue. Similarly, if you provide Personal Data to gain access to the Application, we will use your Personal Data to grant you access and analyze your use of the Application.

Our Disclosure of Your Personal Data and Other Information

There are certain situations in which we may share your Personal Data without further notice to you:

Business Transfers:

If Ask Katina is involved in a merger, acquisition, due diligence process, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, your Personal Data and other information may be shared during the transaction with counterparties and others assisting in the process. It may also be transferred to a successor or affiliate as part of that transaction. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, or reorganization, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets.

Agents, Consultants, and Related Third Parties:

Ask Katina, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business-related functions and to help us better understand and improve the use of our Services. For example, web hosting, database maintenance, and payment processing are services we may outsource. We may share Personal Data with vendors and service providers in connection with providing the Services.

Legal Requirements:

Ask Katina may disclose your Personal Data if legally required, or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to:

  • Protect and defend the rights or property of Ask Katina;

Readings and Other Users:

Your name and profile picture (if provided) will be visible to all users. Ask Katina may use your Personal Data to generate personalized insights ("Personal Readings") and, upon request, insights about your compatibility with other users ("Compatibility Readings").

Your Personal Readings, status updates, photos, videos, and comments you share through the Services ("Shared Content") may appear in the feeds of users you have befriended ("Friends"). Friends may use the Services and Social Media platforms (as defined below) to share your Shared Content with others. Friends may also see your Personal Readings when viewing your profile. Any user may generate a Compatibility Reading with you and share it through the Services and/or on social media platforms. The Services may suggest connecting with users who have received similar readings. To facilitate this connection, the Services may share your username, profile photo, and a brief summary of your Personal Reading with these users.

Accessing the Application Through Apple or Google:

If you use Apple Keychain to log into the Application automatically, your login information will be shared with Apple, Inc.

Security:

Ask Katina implements technical and organizational measures and takes reasonable steps to protect your Personal Data provided via the Services from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please note that neither the Internet nor email transmissions are ever fully secure or error-free. In particular, emails sent to or from the Services may not be secure. Therefore, exercise caution when deciding what information to send to us via email. Ask Katina cannot and does not guarantee that any Personal Data provided to us will not become public under any circumstances. Please consider this when disclosing any Personal Data to Ask Katina via the Internet.

Your access to and use of the Services is subject to the Terms of Service available at askatina.xyz/terms-and-conditions and the Ask Katina App in the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Changes to Ask Katina's Privacy Policy:

The Services and our business may evolve over time; as a result, it may be necessary for Ask Katina to update or modify this Privacy Policy. Ask Katina reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. We encourage you to review this policy periodically, especially before you provide any Personal Data.

This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy will indicate your agreement with the terms of the revised Privacy Policy.
